The Lineage of Thakidipuram family will take us to the first century. Around BC 100, there were many colonies built by the foreigners in Kodungallor, Kollam and Kokkamangalam. Amongst them the prominent was the Jews who have migrated from Palestine and settled in Kerala around BC 2000.  St. Thomas, the Apostle, established Christian communities at Kodungallor, Kokkamangalam, Kollam, kottakkavu, Niranam, Nilakkal and Pallipuram, baptizing some 600 plus people belonging to the Jewish and other local communities. Then our forefathers of the Narikkattu family belonging to the Jewish community were also thus baptized. At that time they were well known masters in Kalari (a martial art) at kokkamangalam. A mother and two sons of Narikkattu Family after the demise of their father migrated first to Mulakulam near Moovattupuzha around the 11th century and then to Panthathala of Meenachil, between 1150 and 1200 A.D. The two sons who were masters in Kalari lead an imposing life.  At that time the rulers of Meenachil was Meenachil Kartha who was impressed by the ability of two sons of Narikkattu family. The ruler then appointed the two sons as his body guards and they were also given tax free land holdings at Panthathala. The younger brother, who was the old grandfather in the ancestry of the Thakidipuram family after marriage settled at Iriyanickal Purayidom and received Iriyanickal as the family name.

We do not have any available history about two successive generations of the Iriyanickal father. From the known history, at that time there were 5 sons and a daughter in that family and the three elders of them migrated to Thachilettu, Madathikuzhinjoor and Vathalloor and the fourth son became a priest and the youngest son continued to live at Iryanickal. The father who settled at Vathalloor had three sons and two brothers migrated to Thengumthottam and Elanjimattom and received it as their family name. The younger brother named Chummar who continued to live at Vathalloor had four sons .These brothers migrated to Chakinimanthara of Vazhoor, Kuttively of Velliyeppally , Thakidipuram of Kozhuvanal and the younger brother continued to live at Vathalloor.

The forefather named Ouseph who lived at kozhuvanal received the family name Thakidipuram had four sons namely Chummar, Cherian, Ouseph and Thomman. Of them, Chummar settled at Vazhoor, Cherian at Ponkunnam, Ouseph at Thodanal manakkunnu and Thomman remained in the ancestral home at Thodanal. The 3-6 generations of these forefathers live around the world to keep up the legacy of Thakidipuram family.
